Exclusive Luxury in Salvador, Bahia
Top Hotels in Brazil
From Exame magazine
Just a brief moment of reflection in our spaces is enough to transport you to another time. There, you can imagine Orson Welles, Pablo Neruda, Carmen Miranda, and Jorge Amado strolling through the corridors of the old Palace Hotel.
Salvador’s first luxury hotel was as iconic as the distinguished guests who have stayed there over the decades. Opened in 1934 in an Art Deco building inspired by New York’s Flatiron Building, it occupies an equally historic address: Rua Chile, Brazil’s first street and, for decades, the most elegant address in the capital of Bahia.
A story like this deserved to be preserved. Antonio Mazzafera, CEO of the Fera Group, believed this and invested in a meticulous restoration process that honored the building’s history, returned it to the city, and prepared it for a new era.
Experience the charm of the streets, the colors, and the flavors. Take in the breathtaking view and enjoy easy access to the main tourist attractions: the Lacerda Elevator, Mercado Modelo, Pelourinho, and Praça Castro Alves.
The port, the airport, and the convention center are also just a few minutes away.
It’s Bahian culture right before your eyes—perfect for anyone looking for memorable moments, whether for work, leisure, or a combination of both.

EXCELLENT Based on 1,665 reviews Published on Thomas of AVerified Excellent Excellent location, cleanliness, and servicePublished on Fernando Tiago dVerified A great experience Everything was excellent—parking, the gym, the food.Published on Ron Caboclo DVerified Deluxe Room I’ve been staying here since the hotel opened in 2017. Every visit has been exceptional. The front desk and the entire staff have mastered the art of hospitality. They take great care of me every time I visit. The view from the rooftop is still the best in Salvador. I highly recommend it for future trips. I prefer the Deluxe rooms on the Rua Chile side on the 7th and 8th floors.Published on Adrian KVerified A wonderful stay in the capital of joy The Fera Palace has plenty to recommend it: the breakfast, the pool on the exclusive rooftop with a beautiful view of the sunset, and its convenient location near many of the city’s main attractions. But what really sets this hotel apart is the concierge, Luis, who planned a wonderful itinerary, went above and beyond expectations, and was always available to answer any questions.Published on Andrea LVerified Arento I visited Arento for the weekend, and everything was wonderful. Great location, and above all, the staff were extremely attentive and very friendly. A great experience. Highly recommendedPublished on Carmen BVerified Beautiful hotel Excellent hotel! A beautiful historic building near Pelourinho. A note for management: The bathroom shower needs a thorough cleaning. I’ve seen this mentioned in other reviews, so this is an important issue for such a nice hotel. The food is excellent and the service is great.
